Edelhof was originally a building belonging to the convent and was converted into a mansion/castle for the local prominent De Matthys family in the 19th century. It is therefore a typical example of 'more recent residences with castle allure'. Today it serves as a starting point/gateway to the Hoge Kempen National Park.
